Path Of Exile Heist: Flashback Event Hub

GGG announced that Path of Exile3.13 will be delayed for one month. Wilson says that the dev team still expects Path of Exile 3.13 to be finished by early to mid-December, but the team will begin working on the 3.14 expansion during the month of delay.

In their announcement of the delay of 3.13 from its initial intended release date of mid-December, GGG announced that they would fill the month-long gap to their intended January 15th release of 3.13 with a Flashback event.

Flashback leagues generally are created by Grinding Gear Games to fill up a certain timeslot in between two of their Challenge Leagues. 3.13 was delayed by an entire month because of the release of Cyberpunk 2077, a game that is incredibly hyped, according to their knowledge. As they didn’t want one of their expansions to release whilst a decent chunk of their player base is occupied playing another highly anticipated release, they decided to push it back.

What we know (from GGG’s follow-up explanation of their delay) is that Bex (GGG’s community manager) is pushing for Endless Delve, which has to be some iteration on the old Endless Ledge races we used to have. Most likely though, we’re getting a Flashback event, as the code and knowhow to launch these is there and creating it is probably rather simple.

Flashback leagues work in multiple ways but always are a walk down memory lane. It brings back old league mechanics and makes them very apparent for as long as the league lasts. The way they usually introduce these mechanics is either through a permanent set of modifiers on all zones in the game (this includes Delves, Heists probably, ..) or there’s some kind of rotational set of modifiers. Personally, I think the latter is most interesting as it rotates a certain set of mods on a certain zone/map for an hour. Whereas your favorite map could have modifiers like Beyond, Harbinger and Synthesis for an hour, maybe the next hour your favorite modifiers are on your second favorite map and you can make a swap!

Another interesting part about Flashback’s is that they usually reward very rare Unique items and MTXs to people who achieve certain things. Usually, for the first three players that reach level 100 in every class, there is an Alternate Art Demigod item as a reward. For numbers 4 to 10, there is a regular Demigod as a reward. Additionally, they give away like 300 Helmet MTXs which get raffled through, for example, every level 90+ Character! Usually, there are also Mystery Boxes for a character that reaches level 80 or something, so every player can partake!

Mid-December is all that’s really currently know for when the Flashback Event will launch. We can make our game run more smoothly by buy POE currency.
